Stardust Ball has moved to Putney
We have had a wonderful 18 months at Stardust Ballroom in Kennington. However, it’s now time for us to move to an even bigger and better studio space in Putney. Our beautiful new site is conveniently located, has a superb sprung floor, is air conditioned and is a massive 65ft x 35ft. Our schedule of classes and courses will remain exactly the same, and all our wonderful teachers will be moving with us.
When will the move take place?
Our normal timetable will continue in Kennington up to and including Wednesday 4 August. We will open in Putney on Thursday 5 August (when the four-week Waltz course starts). After August 4, the Kennington site will be redeveloped into offices, so unless you’re looking for after-hours number-crunching rather than an evening of glamorous ballroom dancing, don’t forget to put the moving date in your diary and come join us in Putney.
What will the timetable be in Putney?
The timetable will be:
Monday - drop-in classes (7.00pm - 10.45pm)
Thursday - four-week courses (7.15pm - 8.45pm), Latin technique class (8.45pm -10.00pm)
Friday - Friday Freestyle and drop-in classes (7.30pm - 11.00pm)
Saturday - Kids classes (11.00am), four-week Ballroom and Latin courses (12.00pm - 3.15pm), practice session (4.00pm -5.30pm)
Sunday - Stardust Formation Team practice (3.00pm -5.00pm) (starting again in September)
Our teachers are available for private lessons as usual when group classes are not taking place.
What will happen to Stardust Ball and Stardust Milonga?
Given how many keen dancers regularly attend our balls and milongas, we’re delighted to hold these events in our new larger studio, where there will be even more space for you to strut your stuff on the floor.
What are the benefits of the new venue?
The new Stardust Ballroom in Putney features:
* a huge, sprung floor ideal for ballroom dancing
* full air conditioning
* licensed bar in the Putney Club
* built-in lighting system
* own entrance
Location
The Putney Club
63 Upper Richmond Road
London
SW15 2RD
The new venue is conveniently located one minute from East Putney tube (District Line) and five minutes from Putney rail station (trains to Waterloo, Clapham Junction and many other destinations).
We are enormously grateful to you all for your ongoing support of Stardust Ballroom. Our time in Kennington has been busy, exciting, educational, varied and, above all, fun – and that’s down to all of you. We look forward to seeing you all in Putney from August for more classes, more socials and more fun together in an even better dance studio.
If you have any questions about the move, please don't hesitate to call Melina on 07951 742346..
